Help the Teacher

Three of my favorite desserts are chochalate puting, chochlate ckake, and cheesckak. (-Anthony, grade 3)

If anyone knows how to effectively teach spelling of the English language, please let me know.

They say it's a visual thing. Definitely not phonetic. At least he seems to be eating well!

I agree with Dorcas, he eats well and is hyper, not overly hyper, just a little hyper.

Just for the record, let me remind you that he listed what he likes, not necessarily what he eats. =)

You can't do better than provide a child with lots of reading material. Endless reading fills the mind with mental pictures of words that can hopefully be recalled at will as needed. Sadly, though, it seems to be a genetic thing. Sum pea pole cans bell. Otter peep hole Cain knot four nut tin.

I am waiting for someone to publish a book with all the spelings (sic) verbatim.
So, maybe your offspring would be the winner for someone whose spellings are the most original and yet decyferable. I mean, look at some of the uncle's entries on facebook. No wha tie meen?
